Paul's Farm

Oh heyyyy everyone!!  I forgot this existed for a week, or I was probably just talking to people that talk back and had no time to talk to people that I can't even hold accountable for listening reading.  But it's cool, I ain't mad.

Here's what's been going on...

10 K (6.2 mi) in 60 mins
4.5 mi in 43:49
3 mi in 27:54
3.83 (was headed to 4 mi, but detoured to the potty) 36 mins??

And this weekend I'm heading to Louisville, KY with Granger.

On Sunday, though, I went to Paul's farm. You know that movie "We Bought A Zoo"? Well, I haven't seen it, and I don't think it's totally relatable to Paul's farm, but I bet it's pretty close.

Goats!

Donkeys: Stormy and Ike, I'm pretty sure.

Maggie, a Great Dane.
Jelly Bean, an Appaloosa

Momma mini horse in foreground, baby mini horse outside

What?

Another mini horse getting d-runk.
Love this!

Llama

Mini horse

"Triple baggers"... if you know what I mean ;)
Seriously, the perfect Sunday Funday!

Happy Friday!  Have a great weekend!

COLOR RUN

Workouts:
Thursday: rest
Friday: 3 mi, slow, like 35 mins
Saturday: Color Run (5K) and 5 extra grueling miles, I walked mostly.
Sunday: Stretch/strength rest
Monday: 4 mi, 39:49
Today: 10:25 soccer game, might get in an extra 40 min tempo run, maybe.

Hey gang.

Over the weekend was The Color Run! It was super fun, and people were obsessed with us after. Like on Sunday, we got, "OMG! You did The Color Run! Was it awesome?!" Um, hi, who are you? I finally got the pink off my chest, and I wonder if Mom's seat belt is clean yet?? Sorry, mom.

The run was fun, there is no timer, so no need to break any world records.  For the most part nothing stained, except that pink on my skin, but that was a pretty direct shot, so I'm letting it slide.  See that green on my left shoulder?  That got all over the seat belt, and came off on mom's shirt the next day. This raised money for Autism, not near and dear to me, but totally legit.  Mom brought wipes and towels and trash bags. The race is pretty expensive, but you get some sweet stuff... sweatbands, tshirt, bandanna.  And they have lots of stuff to buy, sunglasses for $5. I heard 15,000 participants, but I didn't hear the final numbers on money raised, obvi it was a successful event.

I don't really have much else, I guess.

Anybody watch Stars Earn Stripes?  At first I was kind of turned off by the idea of the show, sort of thought it was mocking our troops.  But I watched it, and kind of loved it!  I love Mr. Palin, I said it.  And the whole show every celebrity is very vocal about their appreciation for the troops.  It's cool.  I dig it. Let's see how Capt. Konze feels.

Jdub: Do you watch Stars Earn Stripes?
Cap'n: Hahahahahhahahahahahhahahahahahahaha
Cap'n: F$&# no.

Obviously, someone has been out in the woods crushing souls for too long.

Happy Tuesday!  Any Beef?

Full Of Ideas

What up party people!

No workout yesterday, because I've been sick, I'm pretty sure last night was the worst.  Tuesday night/Weds morning, I woke up at 3:48am, drenched in a cold, clammy sweat.  Nothing pisses me off more than sweating while sleeping.  NOTHING.  So, I toweled off, put on dry clothes, and was forced to sleep on the OTHER side of my bed.  The side that no one I don't like.  I was very skeptical, but the rest of my slumber turned out to be pretty successful.  I also have this weird thing with sweating, well, it's completely normal to me... I refuse, hear me? REFUSE to touch anything, put on anything, wear anything, sit on anything that I've already touched, put on, worn, sat on while sweating/being sweaty... follow?  So, I slept on the OTHER side of the bed, again, a little more willingly than the night before, and I woke up in a cold, clammy sweat AGAIN.  But there was less, yet still so disgusting.  So, now what.  I have to sleep on a sweaty bed.  I ended up justifying to myself that the middle was still "safe".  Today's lesson:  Try the other side of your bed.

Tonight, Granger and I are seeing The Lion King at The Fox!  WOOOO!  We know all the words to the songs.  Obvi, we're obsessed with the Disney movie, and even more obvi, I'm totally getting a t.

OMGW: CUPPYCAKES

Workouts:
Tuesday: Soccer, winner, shocking.
Weds: 3 mi at the park, cupcakes will be there.

OMG!  Did I mention Mom and I made cupcakes over the weekend?  My brain is very foggy and clogged with snot.

I got a little crazy with the fins, it was my first time.

Here's the link to the recipe.  Someone ate the "cores" of the cupcakes, the recipe tells you to put them back in the cupcakes, but it's ok if you don't have any to do that, the cupcakes still work.

Happy Wednesday!

WYBT

I'm sick.

Workouts:
Where did I leave off???
Friday: 3 mi, nothing to time me, probably about 14 minutes... flat.
Saturday: 7 mi, mom peeled me off the road, Thanks Mom!
Sunday: Rest
Monday: I had to get up early to run, I ended up only running 1.65, ha
Tuesday: Soccer

More Hope Solo beef.  WTF is her problem.  Actually, I know her problem... she wrote a memoir.

I got this from Buss yesterday.  She got me all fired up.

http://espn.go.com/espnw/mobile/touch/more-sports/8262829/espnw-usgoalkeeper-hope-solo-details-benching-2007-world-cup

Freakin' Hope Solo obviously thinks someone cares about her, here's what's worse, apparently so does a publisher.  I read that article, and the whole time I was thinking, she's such a brat.  She isn't sorry for anything... and do you know WHY she isn't sorry???  Because she ran her big mouth AGAIN at the Olympics, like three weeks ago.  I talked ranted about it here.  Maybe, BIG MAYBE, I would have believed she was sorry if she kept her mouth shut at the Olympics, or ever since 2007, but noooooooooooooo.  Seriously, team USA has peeps, right?  Where is the team PR person, because you need to hire another PR person strictly for Hope... who, ironically, has no hope.  Listen, I generally don't judge professional athletes off the field (cough::Tiger Woods::cough), but Hope is bringing it to the field.  We know she's a good goal keeper.  We give her credit for the Olympics (team effort of course), she made some GREAT saves in the gold medal match, but someone tell her to keep her trap shut.

Every time she says this:

"I think all of us believe in ourselves enough to think we can affect the outcome."

I want to punch her in the face.  That's a cop out.  She said, "I could have made those saves." Really, then why didn't you make them against Japan in the 2011 World Cup final?   I say no one cares, but obviously I do a little, otherwise I wouldn't be blogging about this maniac woman.  I just want her to shut up.  And stop lying in your memoir.   And I'm sick, so you should feel sorry for me.  And it's WYBT.   On a lighter note, yesterday was this beauty's birthday.
We had a lovely bday dinner at cool little spot in downtown Clayton called Crushed Red, I recommend it! I lied to her and said we're going to the Card's game on Thurs... we're actually seeing The Lion King, surprise!  And fingers crossed, it's a sing-a-long, because we know all the words.   Happy Tuesday!

2nd Place is The First Loser

Wednesday's workout: 3 mi, .5 in 4:46, 2.5 in 22:59... I had to use the restroom.
Today: REST! THANK YOU LORD BABY JESUS, I'm tired, and my body aches!  Even my upper body.  Must be swimming in my sleep again.

HEY!  Today is the gold medal match for US Women's Soccer! OOHHH BABY!  We play Japan, and if anyone remembers, Japan beat us in the World Cup final last year.  Redemption baby!  Don't tell me what happens (TIM!), I'm Mom is recording the game.

Have you noticed how much these Olympians HATE the silver medal??  I've only seen one person excited over a silver medal these games and was sprinter, Dawn Harper (East siiiiiiiide!).  Otherwise, these athletes are PISSED.  But bronze always seems to be pretty pumped.  It's like if you got silver you could have gotten gold, but if you got bronze you were nowhere close to anything... you got lucky.  If anyone wants me to win silver medals for them, I'll do it in any sport, any time.  Not because I'm talented, because I want a freakin' silver medal.

Last night, I watched the women's 400m hurdles, USA's girl... um... LeShawnda Demus??  Is that right?  She was PISSED she got 2nd.  But she's thankful, but she's more pissed.  We'll see her in Rio.  Her mom is her coach, how cool is that!

I'm typing nonsense while I try to find pics of sore losers.

I'm not a huge fan of Ryan Lochte, but if I was, I would LOVE this picture.  I'm sending it to Granger now.  She's weirdly obsessed.  My obsession with Tiger Woods is completely normal, her obsession is creepy, off the charts and mildly inappropriate.

Happy Thursday! GO USA!

Trophy!

Yo.  Sup.

Friday: 3 mi, under 28 min
Saturday: Resties!
Sunday: 5 mi RACE, I won. 47:20, good for a NEW PR!
Monday: 3.5 mi

Here's what I did.  Friday night, Granger and I went to a restaurant/bar and watched the Olympics.  I got a crick in my neck.  And Granger got Bavarian pretzels and soup.  We cheered loudly for US, and we could, because the bar was packed and you couldn't hear anything anyway... except for us cheering loudly for US and yelling "DOPING" when someone from a different country won, because in reality the bar cleared out once we sat down.  Granger smells.

Saturday morning, mom and I picked up our race bibs, we drove around the race path and popped into some shops along main street.  We were on our way out when we drove past GRANDMA'S COOKIES.  Her cookies are the bomb.com.  Seriously, they're amazing!!  They're like... fluffy.  We got a dozen for $6, and I ate 7/12, tomorrow will be 8/12 and then they'll be gone.  Glad I could share.  Saturday, night I spent time with my BFF and her boo in Eureka (You have to say it like you found something.. "Eureka!!!") celebrating a mutual friend's birthday.  A storm came through, and we all got texts from our parents warning us.  Warmington's response, "I survived Katrina, I can survive this."  Well, we stayed right where we were for another hour, and obviously survived.  Listen kids: stay in school, and your parents are ALWAYS right.

Sunday, mom and I were up early for Race day.  It was a decent morning, but it wasn't by any means "cool", still hot.  Could have been a lot worse for sure.  After the race, we joined the Warmington ladies for mani/pedi.  That was fabulous!  For dinner, we were back bothering the Warmingtons at Katie's Birthday BBQ.  Her birthday isn't till the 17th, she's one of those annoying birthday month kinds.  Just kidding, but seriously.

Mom finishing!

My LUCKY number.

WINNERS!

You're welcome.

My OLDest friend.

Happy Monday!

A Vest Has No Sleeves

Wednesday's workout: 3mi, under 28 min
Thursday's workout: 6x400m

You guys know what I did (if you follow me on Twitter, which you probably do, you already know this)??  With the help of my seamstress mother and the inspiration of pinterest (like the other day this boy on my soccer team asked, "WTF is pinterest? I see it all over Facebook" I said, "It's for girls.")... ENOUGH WITH THE PARANTHESES.

THIS.

Turned my 2nd favorite jean jacked into my very favorite denim vest!  Hi-five me.

And do you remember this FABULOUS commercial?

And GO USA!!  Happy Thursday!
