I love Monday.

Make no mistake, by "I love Monday." I mean today, as in this Monday, as in only this Monday (so far).

I feel awesome today. And mostly because of my hair. I love my hair. I have awesome hair.

People say, I have Jennifer Aniston's hair. Actually, it's better.. because it's thicker and just better overall, because I am better than Jen. That's right people, I said it. My hairstylist says I have Jen's color (and it's natural, that's right.. I have virgin hair). I think that's what I meant by, "I have Jennifer Aniston's hair." Anyway, I usually dry the front of my hair, pull the rest back in a low pony, with a side part.. and then off I go.. I can twirl my pony tail around my finger as it dries and BOOM perfect Cheerio pony. This is my preferred hair style.. if you will.. Cheerio pony or braid.

See Quinn's perf pony above.
Speaking of Cheerios.. When does Glee come back? 1 out of my 3 loves have returned to me.. Tiger Woods, making his not so adequate debut over the weekend at the Farmers Insurance Open, but a debut nonetheless.. still no word from Tim Riggins.. and Brittany, as in Brittany Susan Pierce of Glee (real name is Heather Morris but just as I prefer to think of Taylor Kitsch as a real Tim Riggins, I prefer to think of Heather Morris as a real Brittany Susan Pierce.. following?).. I love her!

Watch her here..

Happy Monday. The world is ending tonight, tomorrow and into Wednesday by way of ice, ice and snow, and tornadoes. For reals.. here's my forecast..

http://beta.weather.com/weather/5-day/Chesterfield+MO+63017

I'll miss you, too.

And before I forget, I love this Monday because my pony dried amazingly amazing. Sometimes I lose track of thought..

And also!

Check out Team Rybicki (also part of Team Hope) after dominating the ING Miami Half Marathon..

Way to go, you guys!
L to R: Dr. R, Sarah, Mary Lou Retton Rybicki, Tommy
If you're in town Feb. 11, come to the Casino Queen for a FUNdraiser for Team Hope. I'll be there.

And Happy Monday, again.

I take it back.

Hardly unmotivated.. two blogs in one day! Un. Heard. Of!

Bff Tyler, and his lady friend, Lori are traveling for the next 10 days or something.. actually I think it's already been 2 of their 10.. sooo for the next 8 days! (because 10-2=8.. duh)

Anyway, Ty and Lori are traveling in, through, around, all over Cambodia and Thailand. And, they have a blog!

They're absolutely hilarious. Don't disappoint yourself. Read about their experiences at..

Tyler and Lori's Excellent Asian Adventure

Happy Travels, Kiddos! Bring me back something GOOD!

Two words: Un. Motivated.

BLAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!

I don't really want to be in any environment right now other than one that includes PJs and Tuggie and a television and a piece of furniture I can lay down on. Was that a run-on? I DON'T EVEN CARE! Actually, I do. But I can't figure out where to put my punctuation.. did it makes sense? I'm sure it did. My peeps are totes on my brain wavelength level.

Yesterday, I felt pretty motivated.. I mean, borderline unstoppable, until my indoor soccer game, that is. We got smoked. And by a bad team! What? I know.

Perhaps, I'm just tired. Perhaps, I'd rather be shopping. Perhaps, I don't have enough to do around here.. no, that can't be it. Perhaps, I'm dying to pick this scab on my hand but it's just. not. ready. Yeah.. that's it. Fo' sho'.

At least I've got emails coming in from people that I like, and my outfit looks gooooooood.

Happy Freakin' Hump Day.

Somebody do this for me, exactly this.. and don't stiff me on any of the shoes! Or chandelier.

Lo in STL

My bff, Lo Bosworth came to the Daniel Boone Library in Ballwin, Mo last night. She's adorbs. Exactly like she is on TV.

Her bff's are me, Steph and LC.. and "they're the nicest girls ever." She lives with LC. She always thought Heidi was questionable.. haha, of course! Because Lo is the smartest Laguna Alum. She works for Fox, writes for Glee and Modern Family. She wants to be a writer and I believe direct/write for TV, right mom?

She started out at UCSB, 3 days into her freshman year of college, Laguna Beach started. 4 days into her freshman year of college, her peers started forming judgments about her. She transferred to UCLA. Go Bruins!

When asked about Justin Bobby, she said he's probably somewhere in a dark hole. Bahahaha

Happy Tuesday!

Winter Wonderland

8 1/2 inches of snow and counting!! News says we should expect 2 more today, for a total of (drum roll please...) 10 1/2 inches (again, for the History majors). I have a client tonight, I sort of hope she cancels. I also have an eyebrow wax appointment this evening, I hope she doesn't cancel.

I'm sure glad Bud (my dad) woke me up at 6:06 to shovel the driveway! We finally left for work at 7:41, arriving to work at 8:22 (one of many perks to living at home and working with dad.. I would look bad if dad showed up and I didn't.. if I had my own place, I would have claimed 2 feet at least! But I'm not complaining.. Mom made us cinnamon rolls!).. what? Everybody doesn't keep track of time like this?? I wonder if our street has been plowed?

I hope if you have snow you're not at work. I hope you're outside having a snowball fight, sledding, and making snow angels.
Happy Snow Day!

PS Totally wearing pants today.. don't be mad.

I'm not wearing any pants..

PS I haven't worn pants all week!! Take my word for it and take the challenge!

See "I'm not wearing any pants" button to the right (copy and paste to your own blog if you have one)..

And check out Hayley's blog at http://cheapgirlchicworld.blogspot.com/
(She's the brains behind this no pants operation..)

Old Skool

So going around the Blogosphere are "The 7 Things About My Childhood" (That I'm assuming one should know..) Bloggers are tagging other Bloggers.. and while I'm known only to family and friends, no big time bloggers (YET!!!) thus, never being tagged.. I thought I would do my own "The 7 Things About My Childhood."

SO THERE.

Numero Uno:
Although there have been many stuffed things..
Tuggie (short for Tuggins) slept and continues to sleep with me every night.
I've had him since I was one (Speaking of uno..)

Me with Tuggie, Gramcakes, Papa, Cousin Emi

2. I've had cats my whole life, usually two at a time.
 Prissy (Priscilla) and Poey (Napoleon)
Poey and Racket
Racket and Woody (Woodrow Wilson, 28th President)
Racket and Sweeper
Sweeper and Pedro (currently cat nappin' at home)

Racket was MY first cat. I had her from ages 3-21.
She lived to be 18 (For all you History majors..)

3. I'm an only child.
So, when my friends were playing with their brother and sisters,
I was playing with my dad.
(Mom, too, of course, but for the purpose of the picture..)

Whadda guy!

4. As you already know, because you read this..
I spent lots of time at the hospital/doctor. And not because I'm clumsy!
Whatever. Scars are sexy. And I am awesome.

5. Don't be intimidated by my beauty,
and my totally normal obsession with all-things-sailor (it was totally the clothes)..
Glamour shots, 1990.
Mom was there, too.

You're welcome.

6. By 4th grade, I was your typical "jock".. I think, anyway.
Playing every sport, and letting you know about it.
I wore Adidas Sambas, soccer shorts and over sized t-shirts to school everyday..
rain, snow, or shine.
Don't worry, Mrs. Hines. Dr. Sato said it was OK.

7. In 5th Grade, I was big into the NBA.
Michael Jordan, Scottie Pippen, Charles Barkley, Shaq, Penny Hardaway.
(I wore their shoes!.. not their shoes, the replicas.. in my size..)
Our assignment was to pick a person, and write something about him/her.
I picked Charles Barkley.
The best part.. we traced ourselves on big pieces of paper,
and then colored, drew, cut and pasted to make 'our person.'
Then, it was laminated! Boo-yah!

Leave your "The 7 Things About My Childhood" in the comments!

Happy Wednesday!

Golden Globes

Ok, who watched 'em? We watched up until Desperate Housewives started (How was Eva two places at once!? Magic!) and then turned back to the globes once Brothers and Sisters started.

And who were or wore your favs???

First of all, GLEE! YEAH (TV Series-Comedy, Best Supporting Actor-TV, KURT!)! Second, the facebook movie (Best Pic-Drama, Best Director, Best Original Score- Hello Cam and Jack Black in "The Holiday," Best Screenplay.)?? Really?? I mean, I loved the movie, found it totally entertaining and informational and interesting, but it just isn't a golden globe-ing movie to me. I feel like "The Social Network" should be a big winner for Teen Choice Awards, whatevs. Props to you, Mark Z. You bazillionaire, you sub-30 bazillionaire.. so jeal.

Best Actor, Colin Firth, mom approved, so I did, too. She said "The King's Speech" was totally awes. She'd see it again (with me!) which is a recommendation.

Best Acress, Natalie Portman.. "The Black Swan" is terrifying. You should see it, but I don't recommend it. And after her speech, I was like.. "uhhhh it's probably because she's pregnant and hormonal." Regardless, she's still pretty adorable.

Did anyone see "Love and Other Drugs"?

How about best and worst dressed?

Ann Hathaway looked amazing!

Good ol' Brad and Angie. I was surprised to see Angie in not black.

Even Crazy Eyes won something! And looked fab!

Kurt. I love you.

WTF? She's English. As in, from England.

Blah. Thanks for coming to present one award. Surely, we could have found someone else willing..

I feel like it's hard for the men of the Golden Globes to look bad and, different..

I adore you. Don't ever do a whacked out flick like Black Swan, again. EVER.

Love your hair. Want your hair. Hate your dress. I wouldn't spit on it, if it were on fi'a.

I just saw Mandy Moore in the pics right now, GORGE!

All the Gleeks looked AMAZE!

Hated it. Sorry, Sandy.

Xtina. I just rolled my eyes.
I feel like there were more long sleeved dresses, I totally loved them!! Also lots of muted tones.. like beiges, and champagnes, pinks and peaches.. looked better on some than others. That's norm.

Happy MLK day!

Tek-NO-lodge-i-kull Advances.

This is how the dictionary does it.. tek-nuh-loj-i-kuhl

I get a little more serious with the second syllable, "no". Whenever I have to pronounce the word in real life, I enunciate the "no" part, too. But only for "technological," because, let's be real, saying "technology" like "tek-NO-lodge-ee" makes you sound silly.

Anyway, Mary and I were just reminiscing about VHS (what's the plural?? VHSs?), and how funny it would be if we had our seasons of Gilmore Girls on VHS. Wouldn't that be funny!? We were trying to figure out how many episodes of a particular season would be on one VHS.. whatever the answer is, we're pretty sure it would be ridiculously frustrating and time consuming to figure out! I bet you'd have to fast forward and rewind and then fast forward some more. Totally unlike a DVD! Mr. Dvd, you are smart.

What are your favorite tek-no-lodge-i-kull advances?

Just. Say. No.

So this is the second time I'm being "handled," if you will.. two friends, actually they're friends of friends, so let's go with.. friendly acquaintances. Anyway, two friendly acquaintances have recently turned financial advisers. So, of course, they're calling anyone and everyone to try and get their grubby little paws on some money. Let's just pretend, I had ridonkulous amounts of money for them to get their grubby little paws on, I'm pretty sure I would exhaust all my other resources (Uncle/VP at Raymond James, Dad, that-guy-that-works-at-Charles-Schwab-that-seems-like-he-knows-what-he's-talking-about) first, before I called a friend of a friend of a friend of a friend. And isn't it interesting, that since I met with the first friendly acquaintance, she hasn't bothered called me again.

It isn't enough that I'm honest and say, "My Uncle already handles my monies so no, thanks." Their next question is, "When can we meet?" What? Did I miss something? Next thing I know, I'm meeting them at Subway tomorrow.. and I'll probably have to buy my own 6 inch. And, I'm sorry in advance for referring you. SUCKER.

Happy Tuesday! What are you watching on TV tonight??

Movie-ng In.

WARNING: What I'm about to say..err.. what you're about to see may ruin one (or four) movie(s) for you. Ask me if I care.

I should probably just move into the movie theatre. I think I've seen 4 movies in 23 days. That's like one movie every 5.75 days (take that Algebra). Is that weird? How about this little bit of knowledge- via Mom and Dad.. it's $4 (at Wherenberg theaters) if you go before noon! Which I've only done once, but plan on doing it again, and often!

Movie numero uno.. "How Do You Know"
Featuring: Reese Witherspoon, Paul Rudd, Owen Wilson, Jack Nicholson. I'm gonna go ahead and give it a big fat, "Eh. It's okkkaaayyyy." If you want to see it, wait till you can rent it or Netflix it or Redbox it, or see it before noon. I probably won't buy it, or rent it (now that I've seen it, obviously). It's cute. And I was entertained until I wasn't anymore.. Reese is a USA softball player.. she gets cut.. and doesn't know what to do with herself. Paul Rudd is in corporate America and his dad (Jack) indites him. Whatever that means. Owen is a baseball player.. he's dating Reese. Go figure. Reese dumps Owen because FINALLY she realizes she's in love with Paul Rudd. Something like that.

2. "Black Swan"
Featuring: Natalie Portman, Mila Kunis. This freaktastic flick will not warm your heart. Going in- I knew it was a dark movie, but I was not prepared for the inappropriate-ness.. I became a bit more familiar with the actual ballet, "Swan Lake".. Music by Tchaikovsky.. anybody? Ok, so in the story of "Swan Lake," pure, virginal white swan falls in love with the prince. Then, pure, virginal white swan perceives evil, crazy, black swan and prince as an item. Pure, virginal white swan commits suicide. For reals. In the movie, the ballet director (I don't know the technical name for him) wants the same girl to play both swans.. Natalie Portman (pure, virginal, naive) is picked for both parts. Mila Kunis (crazy, drug-doing and alcohol-drinking) befriends Nat and kind of brings her to the dark side, if you will. Then, good ol' Nat loses her mind and becomes a loony-tune. I was sure I'd become one, just from watching the movie! She dies, too. That's the best I can explain it. You're welcome. I was totally entertained, and on the edge of my seat most of the time. Mom dubbed it as a, "Psycho-Thriller." And I'm definitely not one to disagree!

3. "True Grit"
Featuring: Jeff Bridges, Matt Damon, Hailee Steinfeld. LOVED IT!! The original (I suppose) released in 1969.. John Wayne played Rooster Cogburn, U.S. Marshal, played by Jeff Bridges in 2010's remake. Hailee's (seen on Disney, I'm sure) father is murdered. So, Hailee hires Rooster to find the murderer. Hailee's plan is to tag along and murder the murderer. Matt Damon, a Texas Ranger is also looking for the fugitive. Ends up, all three get together and Hailee eventually does, in fact, murder the murderer. We paid $4 ea to see "True Grit," I would have paid full price.

4. "Country Strong"
Featuring: Gwyneth Paltrow, Tim McGraw, Garret Hedlund (last seen in "Georgia Rule" with LiLo), Leighton Meester. AMAZE! I got totally into this movie. Probably, because of Garret Hedlund's everything.. I'm just going to copy and paste from imdb, because mom hasn't seen yet.. A drama centered on a rising country-music songwriter (Hedlund) who sparks with a fallen star (Paltrow). Together, they mount his ascent and her comeback, which leads to romantic complications involving her husband/manager (McGraw) and a beauty queen-turned-singer (Meester). I will say, all the previews are in the movie, but it was also FULL of surprises, like the ending!!

This just in: "Social Network" out on Blu-ray and DVD tomorrow!!! Holla Facebook!! And why doesn't spell check ever pick up on my Spanish.. I'm not spelling "number" wrong, I'm speaking Spanish. Hello, it's called bilingual.

Happy Monday! New "Bachelor" tonight!

And a Happy New Year!!

Happy 2011 loyal readers (otherwise known as Mom, Mary and Buss.. even if I have to email you that I posted a new blog)!!

Christmas was a success all around!

You've seen this one!

Look at our scenery!! That's my head.. I'm glued to my iPad!!

Boyfriend in action!

SuperDad!

Mommy with death grip on spiked egg nog.

Christmas cookies! I'm in the green (under dad in the red).. as if you couldn't tell!

T came home for the holidays, seen here with Mary.

Pedro loves Christmas.. I'm not kidding.

Doo, doo, doo lookin' out my front door.

Isn't it obvious?

New Years was muy fabulosa tambien. Wes and I made ourselves quite the little dinner! I beat him at Scrabble. Veggies and dip, chicken, potatoes and corn. We set the alarm for 11:55, and put in Inception, have you seen it? I beat Wes at Scrabble. I woke up at 11:52 and stayed up until midnight. Then, got my second wind, I guess, and made brownies for dessert.. Perhaps riding high on caffeine, we were up till 3am! And I beat Wes at Scrabble.

Any resolutions? I have the usual.. save more, spend less. I think I'm going to treat people more like I want to be treated. But let's be honest, there is a fine line between doing the above and being passive. Like if you asked me to give you $100, I'd be like, "Well, I would want someone to give me $100, so ok, I'll cough up the dough." Wrong. And don't push your luck. I know exactly what's going on!

Oh! And today is my Grammer's birthday. She would have been 83. Here she is chilling out, maxing, relaxing all cool in our suite in Orlando in 2005. This very picture is how I always see her..

Here's to you and a prosperous 2011.. without eating herring.
