GAME 7

Um.  Hi.  Did you see what happened last night???

The Cardinals are David Freese is amazing!  I realize this is a team sport, a team effort and a team win.  But let's give credit where credit is due... to David Freese.

Anyway, here are some highlights.

The bunt...

Ok, so my plan was to be totally awesome and put all the highlights on here, but it's impossible to find anything on youtube!  And I'm getting frustrated!  It's all peoples' home videos, which is super, but you can't see sh*t!!!   Or, it's a recording of the game on TV, how stupid.

But at least I have that bunt!!  I.  Am.  Lame.

Tonight is game 7, I'll be downtown taking it all in with this precious gingersnap...

Look at her ugly hat.  I called her "neutral" and made her wear those beads.
GASP! She wasn't born a Cards fan, but she'll be one tonight.
Happy Friday and GO CARDS!!!

I designed this at Converse.com

These are my bloggin' shoes!!!

I designed this at Converse.com

I am so good at life!

No Cards game tonight due to "persistent rain in the forecast." Lame.

Happier Wednesday!

Obsessed

OMG! I'm borderline obsessed with Converse Chuck's, all styles and versions. I only have one pair, but I think whenever I want another, I go to the store and I'm like, "should I get green because it's my fav color, red because of the St. Louis Cards, these crazy colorful ones because I love colors or these purple ones because they're awesome, or these black and orange ones for Halloween, or..." you get the point, right?  I'm totally dying inside for the red, white and blue ones!

Anyway, remember when Nike came out with Nikeid??? WELLLLLL, Converse has it, too!!!  Is that old news?
Check out the pair I designed for myself.

I designed this at Converse.com

And enjoy designing for yourself!!!

Happy Wednesday! (I almost said Monday!)

Game 6

Tonight is Game 6 of the World Series.  The Cards are back home and they BETTER WIN!!

Did you watch Game 5?  OMG, what a mess.

Check out this article.

I don't really have an opinion, because I may have fallen asleep.  But I do know Tony has been accused of "over-managing," and while it seemed to be working, perhaps it caught up with him Tuesday night.

Anywho, new day, new game tonight!  And we're gonna winnnnnnnnnn!

Check this out, hilarious.

GOOOO CARDS!!!

Happy Wednesday!

HELLOOOOOOO, NURSE!

This doesn't really have anything to do with a nurse, except that my bff Katelin Jo Warmington, Jr. is a nurse.  And just kidding, she's not a Jr.

Over the weekend I pulled off Operation:  STHOPABAKAMAD (Surprise The Heck Outta Peg And Bud AKA Mom And Dad).  It was super awesome and fun and great.  My parents celebrated 30 years on Thursday, Oct. 20.  So, I (with the help of many important accomplices) threw them a little Surprise partay on Saturday at the Fox and Hound in Chesterfield.  It was awesome and fun and great, again.  We had a great turn out!  Food was awesome, service was awesome.

Here's the only pic I have, at the moment anyway!  Also, a little dark!

Mom and Dad are in the center of the pic, "behind" #25.  Mom is in red, Dad in yellow.
Jan (accomplice #1) is to the left, laughing.  Janet (accomplice #2) to the right, also laughing.

Happy 30th Anniversary, Mom and Dad (again!)!!

Yesterday was the inaugural St. Louis Rock N' Roll Half Marathon and Marathon.  It was awesome!  Mom, Jan and I volunteered.  What a great race!  We were at water station #4, at mile marker 6.1.  I can't even count how many times I said that yesterday, along with, "CYTOMAX, CYTOMAX, CYTOMAXXXXXXXXXXXX!" (the sports drink offered at our water station).  And to the girl in the Texas Rangers  T, I boo-ed you, and I have no remorse.

Here I am, right side of pic, squatting... giving a little motivation to the runner in green.
These two were the first to come through mile 6, and had 20 more to go.
My words were something to the effect of, "BEAT HIM GREEN!!  BEAT HIMMMMMMMMMM!!!!"
After the race, we bummed around downtown.  Stopping in the Cards team store for some World Series gear.  Can't wait till it says World Series CHAMPS!  We had lunch at Caleco's and then headed home.  Mom and I went to Fleet Feet and Dick's later.  I got a new pair of all black running shoes, and bought some neon green laces to spruce them up!  They look super fast.  I also selected my Soldier half marathon racing outfit!  You will LOVE it and be able to spot me miles away!!

Happy Monday and GO CARDS!  Carp pitches tonight!  WOO!

Clap, Clap, Clapclapclap!

Leading the series 1-0... Tonight is game 2.

Today is also my wonderful parents' 30th Wedding Annversary!!  And on their second anniversary, the Cardinals won the 1982 World Series.  Are you pickin' up what I'm puttin' down?

Happy Anniversary!!
 Happy Thursday!

Training

Most of you know, I'm training for this.

Last night I ran 5 miles, 5 MILES in 47:59.  That's right.  That's wayyyyyyyy less than 10 min miles.

This is what I looked like at the end..

I'm not sure if this is male or female, but you get the point.
I'm not making any wayyyyyy less than 10 min miles promises for 13.1 miles, but I'll do my best!

Happy Tuesday!

We're Going To The 'Ship!

YAHHHHHHHHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!  Cards are going to the World Series!!  First games are Weds. and Thurs. at home, against the Rangers (duh)!  We (MSU gals) coined the phrase, "We're going to the 'Ship!" as in Championship.. You can absolutely use it.

Wes and I met Allie in Murray over the weekend.  It was Homecoming, and it was awesome! We arrived just before half time of the football game.  We played EIPoo (Eastern Illinois U) (Not really Poo) and we won.  It was a great game!  EIPoo has only won 1 this year, so MSU was expected to pound them.  But it turned out to be a little bit of a nail biter.  Very entertaining for the fans, I'm sure Coach Hatcher was a leeeeetle ticked. The final was 36-27, and I know we were down by as much as 10 at one point.  We were still down 3 with 3:06 (thank you http://www.goracers.com/) left on the clock.  Seriously, twas awesome.  Here's the best part... I know you've heard this before... After every Racer TD, Racer 1 takes a lap on the track.  That's right people a REAL LIVE HORSE.  Here's the video Wes captured on Saturday.

This is the coolest thing you'll ever see. EVER. Best tradition in college sports. I said it.

After the game, we drove and walked around campus.  Everything looks great!  We checked up on 88 Welch, she looks fabulous!  And noticed Wes's house was for rent.  An old dorm was torn down, and two new ones have been built.  We found some more parking lots.  Also, sounds like President Dunn has given the OK to tailgating and drinking adult beverages on campus... at least for the purpose of tailgating.  Which, I think, really gives you the college football experience.  Just being able to do it.  Um.. without fear of being expelled.. yes, sports fans, we still tailgated even though it wasn't "allowed."  We stumbled upon the best tailgate ever.. two LARGE RVs- that looked a bit more like tour buses, parked parallel... in between them were about 20 people and a big screen TV.  Hi. My name is Jessica, invite me next time!  We stopped by the RSEC (Said ARE-SECK), renamed the CFSB Center (Said CA-FAH-SA-BA) (Just kidding, you read the letters).  I hate it, too.  We grabbed sandwiches at Quizno's then headed to the women's volleyball game.  Two things:  1.  You'll never find a better Quizno's then the one in Murray, KY 2.  Women's college volleyball is the BEST college sport to watch. After MSU destroyed EKU, we headed to our beloved BAC!  That's the BIG APPLE CAFE!  More affectionately referred to as "The Apple" or "Le Apple" if you're French.  Everything closes by midnight in Murray (for the most part), which I totally love.  You're not waiting around till 10 to go out, and you get home at a reasonable time!  We'll definitely be back, and sooner than 3 years!

And, of course, it was fabulous seeing everyone!!

Happy Monday!

RIP Huddle House, you were the quintessential 3am treat!

It's a Baseball Town

If you don't live under a rock, then you know it's THE post-season!!  I truly believe baseball is America's favorite past time.  You can argue, and you will argue if you don't like baseball... but you're just being a baby.  Because, if you asked me if I liked baseball, my answer wouldn't be, "HELL YES!!" it would be.. "Well... I mean, yeah, I like it, but I would usually choose something else over watching it." And I might pass up a game because it's "too hot."  So, sue me.  HOWEVER, St. Louis eats, breathes, bleeds and LOVES their Cardinals.  How can you blame them/us?  I'm truly a fan first because I live here.  But it's pretty awesome to be a part of it all... a VITAL part.

So, what about this squirrel phenomenon?  Totally hilarious, right?  I bought into it, absolutely.  Gives us something else to believe in, ya know?  You should see all the squirrel stuff at the game!  People in squirrel costumes, people with live stuffed (make sense?) squirrels, sorta weird.  People with store bought stuffed squirrels stapled to their hats.  I wonder how many rally squirrels I'll see at my house in a few weeks!  Here's a cookie mom bought me.  Yes, a cookie.  It was DELISH!

Middle of the picture is a squirrel stapled (I guess) to a guy's cap.  Hilarious.

And, this, is Heaven.

Happy Friday! GO CARDS!!

OMG. PS. I'm totally wearing a fashion blogger's outfit todayyyyyy! Why do I rule so hard! Red cords (for the Cards, of course), a chambray button up/down, black flats, and my Cards beads! #winning #lookingamazingwhilewinning #ilovetwitter (I'm going to tweet this right now!)

And, I'm wearing make up today.  You're welcome.

HELLO!

I'm here!  I'm here!

Ok, soooo you missed a lot!  Probably because I didn't blog.  OOPS!

Last weekend, my cousin Emily drove in from Des Moines.  Emily had tix to the Sugarland concert that got canceled in Iowa when the stage fell and killed 5 or so peeps in Minnesonta Indiana... I think I have that right.  I mean, I know for sure her concert got canceled.  Anyway, Mom, Em, Kim, Jan, Jeremy, Kiki and I went to see Sugarland at the Verizon Wireless Center Friday night. It. Was. Awesome!! Sara Bareilles opened up for Sugarland, she was awesome, too!  And even the weather was perfect!!  In addition to this fantabulous concert, it was also the 5th game of the NLDS.  Cards vs Phillies, in Philly.  I'm sure all of you know what has happened by now, but what a thrill to experience the win with 14,000 of my closest friends!!  Kristian (Bush of Sugarland) even had a Cards hat on by the end of the concert. Here is what Sugarland had to say about it all.

This soft focus you see.. purely accidental #winning
Saturday, yours truly had to go for a little 9 mile yog.. that's right.. 9 miles.  No, I'm not happy about it, and I would even go as far as saying I never want to do it again. But you sure do feel great after! My half marathon is exactly 1 month from today.  I'm looking forward to it being over.  In a good way.  Anyway, Mom and Em met me at mile marker 8.75, that was a treat!  I found me some new legs at that point.  Then we walked the rest of the way home.  Then we had this for breakfast.  Boo-ya.  It was delish, thanks to the Duff Man for finding this little gem.  After breakfast, we hit Macy's.  Can you believe Des Moines doesn't have a Macy's!  I KNOW.  I found a totally adorbs blue tie dye-ish cape-y T.  You will want it soooo bad!!!  And I found a big, fat monkey ring.. OOH! Speaking of rings.. I got this from Angela on etsy.

Hilarious, I know!

Then, we sped, literally, back home for Emily's Mary Kay party!! WOO!  I love Mary Kay! Virtually all my goods come from Mary Kay.  Emily is a new consultant and she beautified us!  I would say it was definitely a success all around!! And all of my new goodies should arrive today or tomorrow! YES! I'm really looking forward to the tinted moisturizer.  A nice alternative to "putting on makeup"  I don't think I've worn any since Saturday.. I'm embarrassed.  Saturday night I took Em to Double D's Karaoke Bar.. Ok. People. Listen up! If you're going to a Karaoke bar, and it's after 9pm.  NO OLD STUPID SLOW SONGS.  And no same sex duets, that was weird.

Sunday, Em left for Des Moines.  I'm so glad she got to spend a couple of days with us!!  Mom and I went to Von Maur at The Meadows in Lake St. Louis.  We had never been! Can you believe that? Well, we've been in Iowa, but not here.  Anyway, I bought me some new booties!  And another totally adorbs ring, with a gorgy green center stone.  And then we hit up Banana Republic and Loft, naturally.  I was able to find some non jeans pants and skirts and use some coups!  Then, Mom and I went home and cleaned our closets!! That's always so refreshing.  I wish I could get rid of more!  My general rule: If you don't wear it in a year, get rid of it!

Happy Wednesday!  Let's go Cardinals!! Clap clap clapclapclap.

Sorry for the lack of pics, I have more just not with me..

Homemade Pizza Bites

Twice on a Sunday.

I found this recipe from Dashing Dish for Mini Deep Dish Pizzas.  And I made them over the weekend.  I should have used less sauce and more cheese.. just my personal opinion.  Which matters so much.

Parmesan (block) goes in the sauce, mozz goes on top.

Super yum!!!  And quick, and easy!!

Housekeeping

Lucky YOU, it's Sunday and I'm blogging!  I would tell you to pay me overtime, except I haven't blogged since Tuesday... hmmm...

I'm currently watching Home Makeover, love this show.  Except it makes me want to have something super duper wrong with me so I can get a SUH WEET pad.  Tonight they built a rental property in addition to a house.. best idea ever!!  I want that, too.  And a pirate room, with a waterfall.  And a slide.  But Jonah's slide is fully enclosed, and no me gusta.. that freaks me out.. so please keep the slide open on top.  Moving on...

Friday night I mingled with The Band Perry.. I'm barely exaggerating..

Boo-yah!
L to R: Matthew, Neil Perry, Amanda, Kimberly Perry, moi, Wes, Reid Perry
Have you ever heard of the game, "8 degrees of Kevin Bacon"? Well, I'm like basically Kimberly's bff.. Paxton is the bomb.com and Kimberly's cousin, he hunts at The Country Lodge.  Wes's brother, Matthew, run's the show at The Country Lodge.. see?  Practically related.  Anywho, not gonna lie, I didn't know too many TBP songs.. and I may have been just "going along for a good time" until TBP came out on stage.  Hello!  I was instantly hooked!  These three were born to perform, led by Kimberly. I've never been to a concert where I didn't really know the performers, and left LOVING them.. for reals.  TBP is it, people.  It's clear they love what they do!  I left the concert feeling so amazingly awesome!  And, I bought the CD.  I rule.  So does The Band Perry.

Also, pics from Meg and Joe's Wedding
